The first time I posted a stuffed french toast recipe, it blew up on TikTok, getting over 1 million views. So when winter rolled around, I wanted to give the people what they wanted - a winter edition of stuffed french toast! Aka the perfect Christmas breakfast recipe.
I used challah bread (because it's so fluffy and moist which makes it perfect for french toast), and the candy cane Joe Joe's dark chocolate bar - but you can use any bread or peppermint chocolate of choice.
Serves: 1
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 min
Total Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1 square of dark chocolate peppermint
1 slice of challah bread
1 egg
⅛ cup milk
Process
Whisk egg and milk together in a bowl large enough to fit your slice of challah
With a bread knife, cut into the middle of one side of the french toast. It should be like a little pocket to put the chocolate in.
Stuff your chocolate into the challah
Put it into the egg wash and let it sit for 1-2 minutes on each side
Cook the french toast on a buttered pan over medium-low heat. It should be around 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden.
Serve hot
