Golden Milk Latte

Golden milk lattes are one of my favorite coffee alternatives! It's not only delicious, but I like starting the day with a powerful antioxidant. Turmeric is so great for gut health, which is important for healthy hormones. Just remember to activate with black pepper to increase bioavailability.



Turmeric is anti-inflammatory, and reducing inflammation in the body through food and stress reduction is one of the most important things you can do to aid your body in the process of creating and excreting excess estrogen, or generally maintaining balanced hormone levels. Antioxidants also help promote liver function, which is a key part of estrogen balancing. Make sure you always mix turmeric with black pepper to help your body be able to absorb the benefits of turmeric. It may also help with IBS symptoms!


 

Golden Milk Latte

Serves: 1 Active Time: 5 minutes Total Time: 5 min

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond milk

  • 1 tsp turmeric, grated

  • 1 tsp ginger, grated

  • black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • honey to sweeten


Process

Place all ingredients, except the honey, in a small pot over medium heat. Don’t bring it to a boil, but only until warm. Let it stay at this temperature for 5 minutes.


Strain the drink while pouring the mixture into your mug, adding honey to sweeten. Optional: use a frother to add some foam!
