I have a new obsession with grilled fruits. And more specifically, grilled pears! It's so good, and even mostly healthy. It's a great dessert to whip out on a cozy fall evening, or even to serve at a small Friendsgiving.
Serves: 2
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
2 pears, halved
2 tsp butter
2 tbsp cinnamon bun spread
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup walnuts
Process
Turn on your grill and let it heat up
Half your pears and remove any seeds or stems. Then pour melted butter (around 1/2 tsp on each half)
Grill flat-side down on medium heat for around 10 minutes, then check to see if they need more time. We rotated them halfway through so they'd get grill marks in both directions.
While the pears are cooking, candy some walnuts by adding 1 tbsp of cinnamon bun spread, sugar, and walnuts on a pan over medium-high heat, for around 5 minutes. Stir constantly.
Add some more cinnamon bun spread on top of your pears (measure with your heart) and this will act as the glue for your candied walnuts.
