This might be ~cheesy~ but nothing beats a good ole Mac and Cheese night🧀 But we spiced it up with some jalapeños! 🌶
Ingredients
1 bag macaroni
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
Dash pepper
Jalapenos
2 cups whole milk
8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
Panko Breadcrumbs
Process
Bring water to a boil in a medium-sized pot. Cook the macaroni as instructed on the package.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, jalapenos, salt, and pepper. Whisk in milk. Bring to a boil, stir constantly. After 1-2 minutes, add in the cheese and stir until melted.
Pour cheese over macaroni-- or pour macaroni into the saucepan if large enough.
Pour mac and cheese into a pan. Use a spatula to flatten it out, then sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top (I used around 1/4 cup but feel free to do more or less!).
Put into the oven on broil for 4 minutes or until the top starts browning.
