Pretzel Crusted Chicken Tenders

I used@traderjoeshoney mustard pretzel pieces instead of panko bread crumbs to make these chicken tenders and lemme tell you... it was AMAZING! Also made some hot honey sauce to mimic Nashville Hot Chicken 😋

Ingredients

• 1/2 bag of Trader Joe's Honey Mustard and Onion Seasoned Pretzel Pieces (or any hard pretzel)

• 2 chicken breasts

• 1 egg

• 1/4 cup water

• 4 tbsp honey

• 1 tsp cayenne pepper

• 1/2 tsp garlic powder

• 1/2 tsp paprika

Process

1. Crush or blend the pretzel pieces (about as fine as flour, some chunks are ok)

2. Crack the egg and add water to make your egg wash

3. Cut chicken breast into nugget -> tender sized pieces

4. Dip the chicken in the egg wash and then coat with the pretzel powder

5. Place chicken in the air fryer for 15-18 minutes @ 375

6. Heat up your honey and mix in the cayenne, garlic, and paprika

7. Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the chicken

8. Serve with spicy mayo and enjoy!
