Single-Serving Flourless Chocolate Cake

Tricked you! This may look, taste, and hold the same texture as a cake but this is no cake. All you need for this delicious, healthy, anti-inflammatory dessert is persimmon, some pure cocoa powder, and coconut flakes (optional but delicious). Blend until smooth, put in the fridge for a few hours to firm up, and enjoy! The one downside of this single-serving flourless chocolate cake is that you'll want more - so you'll wish it was more than one serving!


The ingredients in this recipe that are beneficial for your ovulatory phase are persimmon and coconut. During the ovulatory phase, estrogen and testosterone surge, so you want to eat foods that help your body balance out the spike in estrogen and support the heart.

Persimmons. area wonderful fruit for gut health (which is one of the most important things for hormone health as well)! Loaded with fiber, they can help with bowel movements and digestive health while also keeping you full and satisfied. They are also packed with antioxidants which will help combat inflammation in the body.


Coconut is great for ovulation because it contains essential nutrients such as B vitamins, zinc, and phosphorus which are vital nutrients for healthy ovulation.


 

Single Serving Flourless Chocolate Cake

Serves: 1 Active Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 2+ hours

 

Ingredients

  • 1 persimmon

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • pinch of shredded coconut (optional)


Process

  1. Add all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

  2. Remove from the blender, and into a tupperware or serving bowl. Cover and place in the fridge for 2+ hours to let it set/firm.

  3. I top with more cocoa. powder to serve, but that's optional!
